Micro:bit now available in USA for DonorsChoose.org projects through AKJ Education

The Micro:bit Educational Foundation is happy to announce the BBC micro:bit is now available in the USA for DonorsChoose.org projects.

DonorsChoose.org is a U.S. public charity making it easy for anyone to help a U.S. classroom in need. Public school teachers request materials for their classroom through the charity's website and individuals and companies can donate money towards those purchase. DonorsChoose.org vets all requests, organises the donations and, when a project is fully funded, purchases all the requested items and ships them directly to the school.

All this has been made possible through AKJ Education, a national wholesaler for schools, libraries, literacy programs, non-profit programs and book donation programs. AKJ is an approved DonorsChoose.org vendor and now a micro:bit reseller. So teachers can now create classroom projects on DonorsChoose.org with micro:bits from AKJ Education and request donations for those projects.

To view existing micro:bit projects or to donate money, please visit the micro:bit project page on DonorsChoose.org.
