Winners of the micro:bit Mothers and Carers Challenge!

Carers Challenge Logo

The Micro:bit Educational Foundation is pleased to announce the winners of its latest Challenge. The Challenge we set the micro:bit inventors out there was to use a micro:bit to help Mothers and Carers around the world have a better, easier day. As always, you responded with an amazing set of ideas and devices and it was an extremely hard job to choose the eventual prize winners. A mother or carer receiving any one of your inventions would be suitably pleased and happy.

We have three winners and several people more than worthy of a mention for their wonderful ideas and inventiveness. The Foundation is going to award three prizes: one for the overall winner and two runner up prizes. So, with the rustle of an opening chocolate box, we announce the winners:

The overall prize goes to...

Joseph, aged 15, for his package of useful micro:bit utilities. Written in Python, his micro:bit apps included: an alarm clock; teeth brushing alarm; door opening alarm and key finder plus an impressive video explaining how they are all used.
