Event description
As we celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the Micro:bit Educational Foundation, attendees came together to learn from a decade of collaboration and exploration, and consider what the next decade of technological innovation could mean for the young people of today.
This event was for anyone from around the world who wanted to empower young people to create their best digital futures, powered by the BBC micro:bit. It brought together educators, innovators, curriculum designers, nonprofits, researchers, policy makers, and more to:
- Explore hands-on learning with the micro:bit
- Share strategies & real-world applications for computing education
- Build lasting connections across the digital education community
The programme covered a diverse range of important topics, including how physical computing can help teach AI literacy to children, how to build innovative collaborations to jumpstart computing teaching, and why accessibility is fundamental for building digital futures. Research was also a fundamental part of the conversation, bringing academia and commercial perspectives together.
