Event description

As we celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the Micro:bit Educational Foundation, join us at this in-person event. We will come together to learn from a decade of collaboration and exploration, and consider what the next decade of technological innovation could mean for the young people of today.

This event is for anyone from around the world who wants to empower young people to create their best digital futures, powered by the BBC micro:bit. It brings together educators, innovators, curriculum designers, nonprofits, researchers, policy makers, and more to:

  • Explore hands-on learning with the micro:bit
  • Share strategies & real-world applications for computing education
  • Build lasting connections across the digital education community

We'll be diving into a diverse range of important topics, including how physical computing can help teach AI literacy to children, how to build innovative collaborations to jumpstart computing teaching, and why accessibility is fundamental for building digital futures. Research will also be a fundamental part of the conversation, as we bring academia and commercial perspectives together.
